If Tub's Fine Chili and Fancy Fixin's had been in Culver City in 1971, I never would have moved to San Diego. Well, I would have gone to SDSU back then, but I would have returned.
Hello! I want to thank you for warm reception and making my evening great. The food was delicious and spicy, but it was the atmosphere I like most of all. Smiling faces everywhere, good music, but quiet enough to be heard by your friend without shouting in his ear.

Yup, you sure do make a good chili there Rick. Nice atmosphere, and no to mention the Frosted Boot Beer!
Will certainly be back to try the other recipes.

The steak chili is my favorite, and the Buffalo Chips are to die for!
This restaurant is going to be a huge success, and I predict it will spawn offspring all over the West.

Rancher Rick and his posse have delivered on just what we needed in Culver City, a chili eatery of the finest order! Tub's menu is uncomplicated...They serve chili. Now, don't think that this means no variety, no sir. They've got steak, ground chuck, turkey, chicken, pork & vegetarian chilies. Each one has its own recipe so's to keep it exciting. I love the ground chuck and the missus fancies the turkey, but we'll be back quite often after the samples that Rick laid on us. For those that like an extra kick of heat, try the TNT sauce! What are buffalo chips and tub toppers? Well, you'll just have to go on down there and find out for yourself. Lastly, the western decor is pleasing and cowboy movies playing on the big screen is a welcome surprise (especially for a strip mall). Tub's is located on Overland at Braddock next to Comics Ink, which should do nicely, cause us comics guys like to eat!
PS-Enjoyin' some Smoking Pig as I write this....Yowza!
I stopped in to try the chili about 2 hours after they opened their doors and have been back many times since! The flavors of each chili are different and unique, each is worth trying to find your favorite. Even the vegetarian is great. I still like the Turkey Drive, but I still have one of the others every so often.

By all means TUBS is my favorite chili place. I have tried almost all of they kinds' and they Rock !!!!
Turkey Drive is my kind of chili after a surf session or just as a late meal.

Wonderful Owners, Wonderful Food
My wife and I are completely addicted to this place. I get Turkey - which is perfect every time, and my wife gets Steak. She loves it.
Plus, the owners are sooooo nice!
Definitely worth a try, but be warned... get there early because they close at 8PM.
Tubs is a great western place
